So...we're sitting at Angela's (pancake house) for breakfast last Saturday morning and we ask Lauren if she'd like to share the silver dollar pancakes with Anna. She ponders the question and very seriously says, "But, dad...I want pancakes but no coins in it!" She was really concerned her pancakes were going to be served with coins on top!! Too funny. So the order now is, "Silver dollar pancakes, please....hold the coins."
This reminded us of when Anna was this age and we were in Houston visiting Gran and Grandad.
Gran had made her usual delicious cookies and put them in a plastic tupperware container. Grandad was eating a cookie (or two :) ) and said very enthusiasticly, "These cookies are out...standing." (with a pause in the word emphasizing their greatness). Anna laughed and said, "Grandad....the cookies are not out standing....the cookies are IN the box!"
Too funny.
