Cousin Club Reunion ~ The Camp/Beaumont, TX ~ July 17th

I am finally getting around to writing about our reunion...what a great weekend!
After much planning and anticipation, the weekend of our reunion had arrived. It's quite an effort to coordinate flights/driving schedules, etc for 22 people! It was an event for sure...complete with "Swank-Morrison" reunion t-shirts (thanks to John/Lacie for creating)...cups with the family names on them...and a collage of pics of the "original" cousin club growing up. So fun looking back and remembering.
We have not all been together under one roof in years, besides weddings...so this was a great opportunity to reconnect and introduce the cousins to each other! There was no lack of activity and to mention a few...
games of all sorts played out on the screened porch (thanks for the Dollingers for letting us stay at the "camp") ...canoe rides by Uncle Reagan over to the sand bar...swimming in the creek, sandcastles...swinging, nature walks, a wonderful thunderstorm rolling in... and a power outage (just in time for dinner!) ...famous margaritas (thanks Sarah and Bri)...a dance show by the kids of their favorite songs from doing VBS together...a baby announcement (congrats Reagan and Lisa on #3 due in March)...and more!

It was so neat to look around and see different pairs/groups of us...sitting together catching up on where life has taken us over the years! All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and we look forward to making it a tradition (every two years?). Family is important and we must make that effort to connect and stay connected. I think my favorite moment of the time together was looking back as we returned from a walk and seeing mom and Sandy smiling and laughing together....sisters...always.
See more pics from the weekend in post below...
